Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Clearfield are currently looking for a permanent Junior Quantity Surveyor for a Construction company based in Essex who specialise drylining and partitions.

Role: Junior Quantity Surveyor Reporting to: Director

A typical day as a Junior Quantity Surveyor entails:
• Assisting with estimating, cost planning, Bills of Quantities, and Specifications.
• Supporting on construction managers as needed.
• Assisting in the preparation and administration of interim and final account applications.
• Assisting in the preparation and updating of standard cost databases and profiles.
• Collaborating with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.
• Reviewing sub-contractor applications.
• Valuing and processing sub-contractor payments.

Requirements:
• Desirable: BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree.
• This role requires regular site visits across the East Anglia, so a full UK driver's license and access to your own vehicle are essential.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and strong numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and contractual knowledge to effectively handle day-to-day issues.
