Assistant Supply Chain Manager (Retail)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative coordination in the identification of Tier 2 suppliers for new and current projects via workbooks, scope documents, drawings and cost plans
  • Close liaison with the Commercial Team to ensure orders are placed in line with the overall programme
  • Circulate design, construction and routine information to Tier 2 suppliers
  • To be the first point of contact for any queries by Tier 2 suppliers and to escalate these to the SCM , QS, Designer or Information Team for swift resolution
  • Maintain the Tier 2 Tracker for all work streams and regularly report on risks and issues
  • Continuous liaison with suppliers to ensure key programme dates are met
  • Liaise with Information Team to ensure Tier 2 suppliers deliver required information in time
  • Ensure Operations Teams adhere to close out processes such as installation sign offs
  • May require travel to Client sites and suppliers

Required Experience:

  • The Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Retail Banking with a fit out contractor or client side retail organisation.
  • Proven experience in understanding drawings and fit out processes is essential.  Knowledge of construction, design and retail supply chain is highly desirable.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other I.T. software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Web-based portals

This position is between 3-6 Months with the opportunity of a permanent position
